Participation in Georesilience Summit

Jordan Bell (ST11) was invited to participate in the GeoResilience Summit on 4/3/24. The Summit was held at the Jackson Center here in Huntsville and was hosted by GeoHuntsville and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The purpose of the summit was for government, industry, and academia to engage in discussion around the growing impact geointelligence (GEOINT) on national security and how advances are being made right here in Huntsville. The theme was centered on resilience, with panels on health, growing IT challenges, and even how resilience is translating to future threats that may occur outer space. Bell served on a panel entitled, “Geospatial Roles in Disaster Response and Climate Change” to discuss NASA Earth Observations, the NASA Disasters Program and how work here at MSFC is contributing to building resilience as our Earth changes.
