History

The Microwave and VHF Communications Tower, located adjacent to the Vehicle Antenna Test Facility (Building 1299), was constructed in 1972 as part of the Building 1299 research complex.

This structure consisted of a concrete support pedestal with two antennas.  

The tower was abandoned in 1998 and demolished in 2010.
