On May 7, 2022, Ames aeronautics researchers participated in the Aviation & Aerospace Exploration Day on the USS Hornet in Alameda, California.  The event included a NASA Aeronautics booth with exhibits for attendees featuring an interactive swashplate, 3D printed blades, and a model of the Mars Helicopter.  During the NASA presentation on the main stage, the researchers discussed Ames aeronautics work, demonstrated aspects of Bernoulli’s principle (with a leaf blower!), and explained the four forces of flight.  In addition, the Ames representatives talked with students about their personal paths to Ames Research Center.
