Kenneth A. Blumenstock – NESC Academy Biography

Mr. Blumenstock has worked as a mechanisms engineer at NASA/GSFC for over 25 years and is degreed as an electrical engineer. One of his specialties is electromagnetic design, and he has designed actuators, motors, magnetic bearings, and optical and inductive position sensors used for both space flight and ground support equipment (GSE). Mr. Blumenstock holds several NASA patents related to magnetic bearings and optical sensors. In his experience as a mechanisms engineer, he bridges the gap between the mechanical and electrical world, which he finds very fulfilling.
