On July 17, the last piece of Space Launch System (SLS) rocket hardware built at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, for the first Artemis mission to the Moon was loaded on the Pegasus barge for delivery to Kennedy Space Center in Florida. To mark the milestone, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey declared July 17th Artemis Day in Alabama.
