NASA Administrator to Visit Marshall Center for Awards Presentation May 20; Media Invited

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will visit NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, on Friday, May 20, to present a major agency award to representatives of the Marshall Center.

Joining Bolden will be Glenn Delgado, associate administrator of NASA’s Office of Small Business Programs; Todd May, Marshall center director; David Brock, Marshall small business specialist; and others. Media representatives are invited to attend the award ceremony that will begin at 12:30 p.m. CDT in conference room P110 of Building 4200.

Administrator Bolden will be available to speak to media at 1:20 p.m. following the award ceremony. This event will not be televised. 

Media interested in attending should contact Kimberly Newton in the Marshall Center’s Public & Employee Communications Office at 256-544-0034 by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Participants must be at the Redstone Arsenal Joint Visitor Control Center at Gate 9, Interstate 565 interchange at Rideout Road/Research Park Boulevard, by 11:30 a.m. to attend. Vehicles are subject to a security search at the gate. News media will need to provide two photo identifications and proof of car insurance. Visitor parking is available in front of Building 4200 on the southwest side.
