(Video 11:22) NASA Marches on with SLS Engine Testing
NASA engineers conducted a successful, 650-second test of the RS-25 engine July 29 on the at the agency’s Stennis Space Center. Four RS-25 engines — along with twin, five-segment solid rocket boosters — will power NASA’s Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft on human missions to deep space, including Mars.

Lunar Rover Kicked Up Moon Dust for the First Time 45 Years Ago
This week marked the 45th anniversary of Apollo 15 and the first deployment of the Lunar Roving Vehicle on the moon’s surface. In celebration of the historic event, we complied an album of the rover in action, as well as images of the development of the one-of-a-kind vehicle.
(Video 4:53) Space Station Live: Make Room for Big Brother
On this week’s Space Station live, we discuss a workhorse of the International Space Station, the Microgravity Science Glovebox. Launched in 2002, the glovebox has hosted scientific payloads from across the world and is busy 99 percent of the time. In a couple years, NASA will launch the new Life Science Glovebox, MSG’s so-called “big brother,” to help alleviate some of that workload.
