Keri L. Eliason is the equal employment opportunity officer at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. She provides executive leadership in development and oversight of the center’s equal opportunity and diversity policies and standards in support of NASA programs, projects and research activities.
Eliason also manages Armstrong’s informal discrimination complaint process and serves as the coordinator of the Alternative Dispute Resolution program. As leader of the Diversity and Equal Opportunity Council, she directs the council’s efforts to act as a change agent in promoting an inclusive work environment that furthers center diversity goals.
Experience
Prior to her current position at NASA Armstrong, Eliason served as the equal employment opportunity officer in the Los Angeles field office of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection division of the Department of Homeland Security. She was also an equal employment opportunity specialist and officer for the South Pacific Customs Management Center of the U. S. Customs Service in Los Angeles and worked as a collateral duty equal employment opportunity counselor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
Education
Eliason received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, in negotiation and conflict management. She received the U.S. Customs Commissioner’s EEO/Diversity Award in 2001 and the Greater Los Angeles Federal Executive Board’s Outstanding Individual Accomplishment Award in 1997.
