********************************************************
All u'v' results in this directory have been corrected.
********************************************************

In this home directory \SymmetricWake_uvcorrected\, there are six folders, namely,
Zero, Ap1, Fp1, Fp2, Plate and Pressure_distribution. Descriptions of these
folders will be given in the following paragraphs.

1. ~\Zero\

This folder contains 2-D LDV measurement result files for the zero
   pressure gradient case.

A typical file name will be like this: Zp-12in.txt, where Zp represents
the zero pressure gradient case and 12in represents 12 inches down-stream
from the trailing edge of the splitter plate.

The heading of these data files will read like this:

    h(mm) Umean(m/s) Urms(m/s) Vmean(m/s) Vrms(m/s) u'v'(m^2/s^2)

   where h represents the lateral(vertical) location of the measurement point;
u'v' is the correlation of u'v', i.e., the negative Reynolds stress, which
is averaged from an ensemble containing over 10,000 data points sampled at
the LDV coincidence mode. The positive direction of h axis leads upward to
   the ceiling of the test-section.

NOTE: The file Zp-19mm.txt, which is taken at the position of 19mm down-
stream from the trailing edge of the splitter plate, can be regarded as
the file for the INITIAL wake.

2. ~\Ap1\

This folder contains 2-D LDV measurement result files for the adverse
   pressure gradient case (dCp/dx=0.0086/in.).

A typical file name will read like this: ap1-05in.txt, where ap represents
the adverse pressure gradient case, 05in represents 5 inches down-stream
from the trailing edge of the splitter plate.

The heading of these data files are the same outlined above in Section 1.

3. ~\Fp1\

This folder contains 2-D LDV measurement result files for the moderate
   favorable pressure gradient case (dCp/dx=-0.0152/in.).

A typical file name will read like this: fp1-05in.txt, where fp1 represents
the moderate favorable pressure gradient case, 05in represents 5 inches
down-stream from the trailing edge of the splitter plate.

The heading of these data files are the same outlined above in Section 1.

4. ~\Fp2\

This folder contains 2-D LDV measurement result files for the severe
   favorable pressure gradient case (dCp/dx=-0.0553/in.).

A typical file name will read like this: fp2-05in.txt, where fp2 represents
the severe favorable pressure gradient case, 05in represents 5 inches
down-stream from the trailing edge of the splitter plate.

The heading of these data files are the same outlined above in Section 1.

5. ~\Plate\

This folder contains the benchmark 2-D LDV measurement result files for
the boundary layer on the splitter plate.

All of the boundary layer survey were conducted at the upper surface of
   the splitter plate.

The files 50%6lft.txt, 50%6rht.txt and 50%6ctr.txt contain the results of
2-D verification measurement conducted at the 50% chord location on the
splitter plate before the plate is tripped at its leading nose.
50%6lft.txt gives the data measured at the spanwise location of 6" from
the ceterline of the splitter plate. Similarly, 50%6rht.txt gives the
data measured at 6" right from the centerline. Here right and left is
under the assumption that the reader is facing the upcoming free stream
in the wind tunnel. Of course, 50%6ctr.txt contains the data measured at
the centerline location. The meaning of the data in these files can easily
be inderstood by the data headings.

Plt50%c.txt, Plt100%c.txt and A1plt100.txt contain the results measured
after the splitter plate is tripped at its nose by using sand tape. All
of the wake measurement are conducted under this condition, i.e., with
a tripped nose of the splitter plate.

Plt50%c.txt and Plt100%c.txt were taken at 50% and 100% chord locations,
repectively, on the splitter plate with the diffuser testsection at zero
   pressure gradient.

A1plt100.txt was taken at 50% chord location on the splitter plate with
the diffuser testsection at adverse pressure gradient.

PLT75%C_X.txt and PLT99p9%C_X.txt were taken at 75%C and the T.E. of the plate
   by use of an X-wire.

6. ~\Pressure_distribution\

In this folder, there are the following files as well as a sub-folder:

   zero_prs.txt, ap1_prs.txt, fp1_prs.txt, fp2_prs.txt and ~\Plate_Prsr_Distr

   The four files zero_prs.txt, ap1_prs.txt, fp1_prs.txt and fp2_prs.txt
give the pressure distribution in the diffuser test section for zero,
adverse, moderate favorable and severe favorable pressure gradient cases.

The heading in the these files will read like this:

   Port# x_wake(in) p(in. H2O) p_rms(in.H2O) Cp sigma_cp Cp+3*sigma_cp Cp-3*sigma_cp

where x-wake represents the streamwise coordinate the origin of which is
located right at the trailing edge of the splitter plate. The definition
   of Cp is Cp=(P-P_inf)/(P_0 - P_inf), where P_0 and P_inf represent the
total and static pressures measured in the free stream in front of the
leading edge of the splitter plate.

In the sub-folder ~\Plate_Prsr_Distr\, the pressure distribution on the
splitter plate is given in the following files:

   plt_spn1.txt, plt_spn2.txt, plt_spn3.txt, plt_stm1.txt,plt_stm2.txt,
   plt_stm3.txt.

plt_spn1.txt, plt_spn2.txt and plt_spn3.txt give the spanwise surface
pressure distribution results of different runs at x/c=58.333% location
on the splitter plate. The heading of the data in these files will read
   like this:

     Port# z_plate(in) p(in. H2O) p_rms(in. H2O) Cp

where z_plate represents the spanwise coordinate, the definition of Cp is
the same as the one mentioned before. The origin of z_plate axis is
located on the centerline of the plate.

plt_stm1.txt,plt_stm2.txt and plt_stm3.txt give the sstremwise surface
pressure distribution results of different runs on the splitter plate.
The heading of the data in these files will read like this:

     Port# x_plate(in) p(in. H2O) p_rms(in. H2O) Cp

where x_plate represents the the steamwise coordinate, the origin of which
is located at the leading edgeo the plate.

NOTE: The pressure distribution on the splitter plate is measured on a
plate specially designed for the surface pressure measurement. The shape
of the leading edge of this plate is different from the one used for
the wake survey, which has a circular leading-edge.
