This subdirectory provides the Database files for the Mach 7.2 HiFire-1-Cone/Cylinder/Flare hypersonic turbulent
 axisymmetric experiment conducted at the CUBRC facility with dry air as the working fluid.

Two model configurations were run, "Run 30" being conducted with a 2.5mm radius blunted nose-tip,
 while "Run 36" was conducted with a sharp nose-tip. Otherwise the geometry is the same,
 being that of a 44.02" long 7 deg cone section, followed by a 10.81" diameter cylinder section
 to the 33 deg half-angle flare starting at the X-station located at X=63.70". The overall length of the model
 is 67.78" (See Appendix D of AIAA 2010-4468 for detailed drawing).

The dataset for runs 30 and 36 are provided by Holden and Maclean of CUBRC.
 with run 30 presented in more detail in the AIAA 2010-4468 publication given below.

Run Conditions of the two runs differ slightly but are given in the Author provided file and are stated to be:

 Run 30(2.5mm radius blunt nose-tip):
 Minf       = 7.190
 Uinf       = 7119.5 ft/sec       =  2170.02 m/sec

 Pinf       = 0.6664 psia         =  4594.67 Pa
 Rhoinf     = 1.30e-4 Slugs/ft^3  =  6.7000e-2 Kg/m^3
 PTotal,inf = 4560 psia           =  31.44 MPa
 T0,inf     = 4090.0 deg R        =  2272.22 K
 H0,inf     = 29.4e6 (ft/sec)^2   =  2.73135 MJ/Kg
 ReU        = 2.91e6 /ft          =  9.547e6 /m
 TWall      = 534.0 deg R         =  296.67 K

 and Run 36(sharp nose-tip):
 Minf       = 7.163               =
 Uinf       = 7740.3 ft/sec       =  2359.24 m/sec
 Tinf       = 471.9 deg R         =   262.17 K
 Pinf       = 0.6858 psia         =  4728.42 Pa
 Rhoinf     = 1.18e-4 Slugs/ft^3  =  6.0814e-2 Kg/m^3
 PTotal,inf = 5193 psia           =  35.804475 MPa
 T0,inf     = 4707.1 deg R        =  2615.06 K
 H0,inf     = 33.7e6 (ft/sec)^2   =  3.13 MJ/Kg
 ReU        = 2.60e6 /ft          =  8.530e6 /m
 TWall      = 530.6 deg R         =   294.78 K

 Transition occurs on the cone forebody at approximately X=0.2 meters from the sharp nose-tip for Run 36, and
 occurs over the range of 0.4-0.6 meters from the blunt nose-tip vertex for Run 30.

 Run 30 is presented in more detail in the AIAA 2010-4468 publication given below:

The CFD and grids for the Holden Cone Flare case as reported in this subdirectory, A4.HoldenHiFire are supplied as
 a consequence of unpublished NASA programmatic work by Dinesh Prabhu of NASA Ames Research Center using
 the DPLR NASA Real-Gas Navier-Stokes code.
