On Thursday, September 3, at 11:00 a.m. ET, NASA debuts a new aeronautics television program called "The Leading Edge."

This chair and others surrounding it will be filled with NASA aeronautics scientists and guests from industry and other government agencies reviewing a critical aeronautics challenge and how NASA helped solve that challenge.

The first program is about Automatic Detection Broadcast-Surveillance, or ADS-B, the new satellite-based navigation system that is gradually replacing current radar-based tracking systems.

ADS-B is considered critical to development of the Next Generation Air Transportation System.

Watch the program live online on September 3 at 11:00 a.m. ET on NASA TV's Education Channel.
