Rocketdyne, which built the Space Shuttle Main Engine under a contract with NASA, applied its NASA experience to solar concentration technology and has licensed it to SolarReserve Inc. The company’s solar power tower, currently under construction in Nevada, will be driven by a field of mirrors and will power 75,000 homes.
