Scientific Integrity
“The NASA Chief Scientist is responsible for scientific integrity throughout NASA. He/she works to ensure that the NASA research workforce is informed of NASA’s research integrity policies and procedures. NASA adheres to rigorous standards regarding professionalism and complies strictly with policies and systems for preserving the quality of information as well as objectively evaluating data and research findings, and maintaining the publications of peer-reviewed results.” Covered topics include: conflicts of interest, ethical conduct, research misconduct, animal welfare, treatment of human subjects, etc.
