Dr. Adam Przekop – NESC Academy Biography

Dr. Adam Przekop has been at NASA Langley Research Center since 2003, initially as an on-site contractor, and later becoming a civil service employee.  He currently works at the Structural Mechanics and Concepts Branch in the Research Directorate. 

Dr. Przekop’s experience encompasses structural and structural-acoustic analysis, including nonlinear static, dynamic, and random response problems, acoustic transmission loss evaluation, thermal stress analysis, high-cycle and thermal-acoustic fatigue, composite repairs, and structural and structural-acoustic testing of composite structures.  He has authored over 65 technical publications.  He currently leads development of a liquid oxygen tow-steered composite tank manufacturing demonstration unit for an air-launched suborbital system and supports the NESC’s Shell Buckling Knockdown Factor Project (SBKF). 

Dr. Przekop received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Old Dominion University and his M.S. (combined with B.S.) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology.
