Voyager's First Science Group Meeting

This image from December 1972 shows the first science steering group meeting of NASA's Voyager mission – then called the Mariner Jupiter Saturn '77 mission. The group is assembled on the mall at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. The science steering group includes the Voyager project scientist and the instruments' principal investigators. Also pictured are the project manager and representatives from NASA Headquarters.
