    STS-133 Landing Blog

Space shuttle Discovery lands. Space shuttle Discovery and the six-person STS-133 crew touched down on Kennedy Space Center's Shuttle Landing Facility on March 9, 2011, its main gears touching down on Runway 15 at 11:57 a.m. It was the last flight of Discovery, NASA's most-flown space shuttle orbiter and the first of the fleet to enter retirement. Landing blogger Anna Heiney provided updates from the air traffic control tower at the runway's midpoint for Discovery's final planned homecoming.
