At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the mobile launcher platform supporting space shuttle Endeavour, attached to its external tank and solid rocket boosters, is positioned over the flame trench on Launch Pad 39A.
Endeavour was secure or "hard down" on the pad at 10:37 a.m. EST after a 3.4-mile journey atop a crawler transporter from the Vehicle Assembly Building.
