    Relive the countdown to launch of space shuttle Discovery and seven astronauts from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Liftoff occurred Aug. 28, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, beginning the STS-128 mission to the International Space Station.

    The 14-day mission delivered more than seven tons of supplies, science racks and equipment, as well as additional environmental hardware to sustain six crew members on the International Space Station.
