Steve Pszcolka is the NASA Observatory Manager and a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for the Polar Operational Environmental Satellite Project at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Mr. Pszcolka leads a highly skilled multi-discipline Spacecraft Team from NASA and oversees the contractor, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Corporation, in technical performance, cost and schedule, in the day-to-day operations of the fabrication, integration, test, and launch of NOAA spacecraft.

Mr. Pszcolka has served as the Observatory Manager for the NOAA-M, NOAA-N and NOAA-N-Prime spacecraft since 2000 (NOAA-M successfully launched in June 2002). Previously, Mr. Pszcolka has served as a COTR and has had successful launches as a Science Instrument Manager, Spacecraft Subsystem Manager, a Deputy Observatory Manager, and an Electronic Parts (Production Operations) Manager. Additionally, Mr. Pszcolka served a detail as a NASA HQ Program Engineer, a Ground Systems Manager and has lead GSFC Tiger Teams for spacecraft, and spacecraft subsystems anomalies.

Mr. Pszcolka has received numerous performance awards and commendations for his work on several GSFC flight projects and launches and was selected to, and is a graduate of, NASA GSFC's Project Management Development Emprise.

Mr. Pszcolka was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science Degree in Systems Engineering Management from The Johns Hopkins University.

Steve holds a "D" coaching license for Soccer, recognized by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), was a Head Coach in youth soccer for over 10 years and now enjoys his time with his wife and three children.
