The Juno spacecraft launched Aug. 5, 2011 at 12:25 p.m. EDT aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Juno will study Jupiter's origin and evolution during a mission period of about a year beginning in July 2016. Relive the countdown and liftoff below.
