Mike Stelzer is the Launch Services Program Mission Integration Manager (MIM) at Kennedy Space Center. He and the Mission Integration Team (MIT) are responsible for managing all integration and vehicle engineering aspects related to the Deep Impact launch service.

Mike was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Mike resides with his wife Maria and children in Merritt Island, Fla. They have three sons, Eric, Sean and Kyle and one daughter, Raquel. Their family spends much of their time playing sports such as soccer where Mike coaches, camping with the YMCA Guides program and starting this past summer Mike, Eric and Raquel have taken up surfing.

Mike is a graduate of Normandy High School, located in Mike's home town of St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from the University of Missouri - Rolla with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 and later received his MS in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida in 1992. Mike began his employment with NASA over 20 years ago as a summer student.

Since that time, Mike has worked as a mechanical engineer and operations engineering lead for Space Shuttle and Space Station payloads prior to coming to the Launch Services Program in 1998. While in the LSP, Mike has worked as a Mission Integration Manager for seven years.
