Murray is part of a 3-member partnership with NASA, the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), and the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC). She is the program coordinator for NASA's Center-unique Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars (LARSS) Program, an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students at NASA Langley under the NIA, and is a VSGC employee serving as onsite program management staff at NASA Langley. Murray is a vital resource for students and mentors in the LARSS program, and coordinates many aspects of the program such as assisting with student recruitment, the review, selection, and notification process of interns, and assisting with housing for the LARSS program. Murray coordinates LARSS activities including student fun nights, student receptions, inviting speakers to come to LARSS events, and is the main point of contact for LARSS students. Prior to being the LARSS program coordinator, Murray served as the NASA Faculty Fellowship Program manager for 17 years. She has been the LARSS program coordinator since 2006.
