“There is a place for artists and storytellers at NASA.”

If you’re looking for NASA video content, Sheva Moore has got you covered. As a video librarian and technician, Moore supports the vision of the agency by providing content to production companies, major networks, educators and private citizens. These videos become products for broadcast news, documentaries, feature films and exhibits.

Moore, who is a contractor with MORI Associates, has witnessed rocket launches, worked with astronauts and even U.S. Presidents — but her proudest accomplishment was earning a screen credit for the Academy Award nominated motion picture, Hidden Figures.

“As an African-American woman, being a part of that project has so much cultural significance,” says Moore. “I am deeply grateful for the work and contributions of Katherine Johnson and so many other women who came before me. Women are trailblazers.”

Moore’s message for girls and women who are interested in pursuing a career at NASA is: Be open to possibilities.

“Things may not unfold as we’ve planned,” she says, “but life has a way of granting wonderful surprises.”
