Analysis Audit Committee
In response to the third recommendation of the
Presidential Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident, the
NASA Administrator requested that the National Research Council form
an audit panel to review the NSTS Program's criticality item and
hazard analysis reassessment effort.
The audit committee was specifically requested
to audit the approach taken for the program review activity and to
verify the adequacy of the overall reassessment, and report their
conclusions and recommendations to the NASA Administrator.
