Dr. Moses Adoko is the CKO of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Prior to his appointment as the Goddard CKO, he served as Deputy Chief Knowledge Officer for the Agency. In this capacity, he supported the NASA Chief Engineer and the Agency Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) in ensuring that the agency’s technical workforce and practitioners have access to critical knowledge to increase the likelihood of mission success. He provided direct support to the Agency CKO to establish and execute the agency knowledge management vision and strategy backed by well-researched policies, proven practices and standards that enable mission success across the agency.
Dr. Adoko currently leads and directs programs designed to cultivate and sustain a learning culture that supports mission success at Goddard. He has implemented strategic processes and tools for lessons learned and critical knowledge identification, sharing, and application. Dr. Adoko provides leadership, coordination and support to center organizations to identify lessons and critical knowledge that can be used to support mission execution. In addition, he serves as the program manager of the Goddard Senior Fellows, a scientific and technical advisory committee that advises the Center Director, especially on issues related to research policy, strategy and innovative solutions.
Dr. Adoko has over twenty years of working experience with NASA, supporting various technical projects including the development and implementation of the NASA Systems Engineering Procedural Requirements (NPR 7123.1) policy. While working with the NASA Headquarters Office of the Chief Engineer in Washington D.C, he led the development and implementation of the Agency’s Systems Engineering Curricula for the NASA Academy of Program Project and Engineering Leadership (APPEL).
Dr. Adoko has also conducted and facilitated multiple sessions of the Agency Foundations of Aerospace at NASA, Project Management and Systems Engineering (PMSE) offerings, and the Goddard Road to Mission Success Series, among other programs. He holds a Ph.D. from the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science. He was a recipient of the NASA GSFC Robert H. Goddard Award for Excellence in Analysis, Innovation and Creativity in 2012 and has received various other awards during his career at NASA.
