NASA’s Johnson Space Center has served as the iconic setting to some of humankind’s greatest achievements. For more than 60 years, as part of NASA’s nationwide team, Johnson has led the world in human space exploration. Giant Leaps Start Here is Johnson’s center external tagline. This moniker evokes a sense of wonder and a desire to push ever forward. It points to the near-term achievements that we will complete with the International Space Station, Commercial Crew and Orion programs, and further highlights our goal of deep space exploration with Gateway and our future lunar endeavors and reminds us of our rich history of exploration.
As we look forward to the next era of human spaceflight, we are releasing a new look and feel of our Giant Leaps Start Here brand to increase awareness about our upcoming missions and engage the Houston community to get onboard with the excitement.
Giant Leaps Start Here will evermore be a rallying cry for space city, where NASA is as synonymous with Houston as the Astros, the rodeo, and traffic. The external tagline and new branding encourages the public to learn more about the future of NASA and the role that Johnson will play going forward. The external tagline will appear on clothing and buildings across the city, engaging the community and reminding them that wherever giant leaps take us, they start here at Johnson.
Today, we push forward to the Moon. Tomorrow, we leap to greater heights and new destinations. There is history to be made. In mission control, we eagerly anticipate the first transmissions from unexplored worlds. “Houston…”
