A collection of four thrusters representing the core stage engines of the new Space Launch System are ignited at Test Stand 115 at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The green flame is a result of the ignition fluid that is burned along with the propellant during this short duration test. The completed scale model of the SLS vehicle, planned for testing later this year, will help design the water suppression system for the launch pad facility at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
