Lunar Lander (Altair) Project Office Industry Day
The Lunar Lander Project Office (LLPO), within NASA's Constellation Program, hosted an Industry Day on Thursday December 13, 2007 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Gilruth Recreational Center, Alamo Ballroom, adjacent to the Johnson Space Center, Houston TX. The project’s name, Altair, and logo were unveiled. The purpose of the Industry Day was to discuss the general background and technical approach/philosophy of the project office, the results of Lander Design Analysis Cycle 1 (LDAC-1) and the pending announcement of a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) solicitation in support of the LLPO. The BAA will be consistent with previously released data outlining the intent of the LLPO to seek industry's evaluation of the preliminary lunar lander design. LLPO also described a password-protected website that contains LDAC-1 and related data.

Lunar Design Analysis Cycle Data Access Password Request

Lunar Design Analysis Cycle (LDAC) data is available by password access. In order to streamline the process, requests for password access to the protected website are being collected and are limited to five (5) requests per business/corporation. Based on NASA Export control policy, US citizenship and business entity ownership will be verified through a process conducted by the administrator of the website, independent of the Lunar Lander Project Office. The approval process may take two to three weeks. Upon verification of pertinent information, approved requesters will receive an e-mail containing the link and information necessary to access the data. It is not required that the persons requesting data access be the same persons that attended LLPO Industry Day. It is incumbent on the business/corporation to follow Export Control policy and manage the dissemination of data to its representatives as appropriate.
