Massey Wins NASA College Scholarship Fund Award
Olivia Massey and Wallops Director Bill Wrobel Wallops Facility Director Bill Wrobel presents to the NASA College Scholarship Fund Award to Olivia Massey.

Olivia Massey, daughter of Wallops employee Caroline Massey, is a recipient of the 2012 NASA College Scholarship Fund Award.

Massey has been a student intern at Wallops Flight Facility for the past three summers, beginning in the summer following her sophomore year of high school. During each summer, she spent her time working in the Wallops Environmental Office.

A recent graduate of Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Md., Olivia not only maintained a 4.0 grade point average but she participated in a variety of activities including editor of the school newspaper, participation in the People to People Student Ambassador Program, captain of the lacrosse and field hockey teams, and even starting a charity to help homeless veterans.

Massey has been awarded numerous awards and inducted into several honor societies including the National Merit Commendation, National Honor Society, French National Honor Society and the AP Scholar with Distinction.

Massey will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall where she plans to major in Environmental Engineering and play on the field hockey team.
