Area Teams Compete in National FIRST Robotics Tournament.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden (center) stands with NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center employee David Lorance (r to l); Stennis employee Dawn Davis; Delana Lorance; and Doug Lorance during the season-ending 2010 FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics World Championships held April 15-17, 2010 in Atlanta, GA. Four Louisiana and Mississippi teams competed in the annual event. David Lorance served as a mentor for the team from Northshore High School in Slidell, La. Davis served as a judge during the national competition. Both are NASA employees. Bolden spoke to team competitors from across the country during his visit to the championship event.
