Pengwang Zhai, Contributor for Thermopedia Online
Pengwang Zhai of Langley’s Science Directorate has been asked to be a leading contributor for a chapter of the online Thermopedia, an encyclopedia of resources on heat and mass transfer, fluid flow and thermodynamics. Thermopedia contributors come from around the world, with most from the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia. Zhai has been asked – by Dombrovsky Leonid, an editor of radiation articles for Thermopedia – to organize a group of scientists to produce articles for a chapter on radiative heat transfer in the ocean and the atmosphere.

Zhai came to Langley as a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow in August of 2008. He joined Science Systems and Applications Inc. full-time in August of 2009. His research mainly includes light scattering by irregular particles and radiative transfer, especially in ocean-atmosphere systems. + Return to the Researcher News
