August 12, 2012
Dr. Robert Gibson, NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Director from Oak Ridge Associated Universities, visited NASA's Langley Research Center on July 12-13, to conduct the annual NPP briefing and site visits. Sandra Myers, program manager of the NASA NPP at the center, and Dr. Waldo Rodriquez, COTR for the NPP, hosted the visit. On Thursday morning, July 12, 2012, Dr. Gibson provided a detailed briefing of the NPP to the NPP Fellows, their advisors, and guests at the NAV Center. The remainder of the two-day visit was devoted to individual site visits with each fellow providing a 20-minute briefing of his/her research, including lab visits and demonstrations. There are currently 15 NPP Fellows at the Center with two additional NPP Fellows scheduled to join the program in October.
