Langley Alumni Association Picnic on July 10
The Langley Alumni Association (LAA) is hosting a picnic for all NASA and contractor retirees (not just LAA Members) with 5 years service to NASA, and their spouses and guests on the evening of July 10, 2012, rain or shine. In case of rain, the alternate site will be the NASA cafeteria.

LAA President Christine Darden expects this to be a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialize with many of your former associates. Retirees are invited to gather on the picnic grounds at the Reid Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. for food and entertainment. Kids, especially grandkids, are very welcome. The cost (to be paid at the event) is $5.00 per person (kids, 12 and under, are $3.00).

The menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, cole slaw, sides and soft drinks. Beer and other beverages will be available for purchase in the Afterburner's Lounge. NASA Badges will not be required to get on the field for this event – just your name on the attendee list at the main gate and a picture ID such as a driver's license for the adults.

Please RSVP as soon as possible to Dick Davis at (757) 595-7474 or or to Sharon Stack, no later than Friday, July 6.

To attend Langley Alumni Association (LAA) meetings, Langley retirees can obtain a one-day visitor badge at the NASA Langley Badge and Pass Office. Please bring two forms of government-issued identification. Six-month badges are available to LAA members. For a six-month badge, fill out a NASA form 1760. The form is available from the NASA liaison to the LAA at the monthly meetings. Please allow two weeks to process six-month badges.
