NASA Langley CDC Camp Lunar-Registration Begins February 19, 2010
The NASA Langley Child Development Center (LCDC) will be providing a high quality, summer camp program for the families of NASA Langley Research Center NASA civil servants, retirees, contactors in the local area (Based on space availability). It is sponsored by the NASA Langley Exchange as an employee benefit and is operated as a non-profit organization. The camp participants are grouped as follows: 6-8 Years Old and 9-12 Years Old.

Parents may choose full time, part time, or drop in care during the summer for their school aged children. Each age group follows a daily schedule, which includes a balance of activities such as: indoor/outdoor athletics Kickball, Softball, Cheerleading, Double Dutch Jump Rope, field trips, individual development activities, individual/small and large group and child/staff initiated activities. Each age group has camp counselors to meet 1-12 ratio requirements. This year’s Camp Lunar theme is Space and Beyond.

The curriculum provides developmentally appropriate activities and materials, parent conferences and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks are provided to support the nutritional needs of campers. Parents are reminded to indicate on the registration form if their child has any special nutritional needs or allergies.

Camp is June 21, 2010-August 27, 2010. Camp hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Registration for camp begins February 19, 2010, a $35.00 non-refundable security deposit expected upon registration.
