Science Directorate Video Wins ADDY Award
The NASA Science Directorate Brand Essence Video has won a 2009 Silver ADDY Award. The ADDY Awards, given by the American Advertising Federation, is the world's largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually. The ADDY Awards recognize creative excellence in all forms of advertising from media of all types and by agencies of all sizes. The Science Directorate video won the award in the audio/visual sales presentation category.

The ADDY Awards is unique among other advertising creative competitions in that it is the only competition that includes three levels of judging: local, regional and national. The Science Directorate video won at the local Washington D.C. level, and Porter Novelli accepted the award at the awards ceremony last month. The next level of judging is at the regional level, which will include competition with winners from surrounding states.

"The competition is all about creative excellence and its wonderful when such an important organization as NASA Science Directorate can be acknowledged," said Sarah Parada from Porter Novelli. "We're pleased to have the important work of the Science Directorate honored in this way."
