For Release: July 17, 2000
NASA Langley Research Center will host the annual Small Disadvantaged Business/University Opportunities Forum on July 20.
The forum is a proven way for small disadvantaged businesses and universities to learn about aerospace research opportunities at NASA Langley. The forum provides participants an opportunity to meet privately with potential customers from NASA Langley and to present their capabilities and technology for consideration. Topics include strategies for participants in technology transfer and commercialization activities.
Terry E. Riley, executive director of the Hampton Roads Technology Council will be the keynote speaker. Riley's address will focus on how "technology will become the great social equalizer."
This year's forum is a partnership among NASA Langley's Office of Procurement and Office of Education; NASA Headquarters' Offices of Aerospace Technology and Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization; and Hampton University and Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology.
The forum will be held from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at NASA Langley's H.J.E. Reid Conference Center in Hampton, Virginia.
