Chuong Nguyen
Mission Manager
Launch Services Program

Chuong Nguyen is a mission manager for the Launch Services Program at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He is responsible for managing integration and engineering of spacecraft launching on expendable launch vehicles.

Nguyen joined NASA in 1989 as an electrical engineer overseeing the testing of deployable satellites.

In 1995, he joined the International Space Station's Spacecraft Processing Directorate as a project engineer managing the development of a space station experiment checkout system. Nguyen also worked as an project manager overseeing the testing of the Japanese Kibo module with the U.S. Harmony Node 2 element.

In 2008, Nguyen joined the Launch Services Program managing the design and development of the Delta II Tracking and Data Relay Satellite communication link.

Nguyen was born in Vietnam but emigrated to the United States at the age of eight and settled in the Orlando area. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Central Florida. He currently resides in Oviedo, Fla., with his wife and son.
