BRSP Chosen For JSC Base Operations
Contract
The Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, TX, has awarded a contract to
BRSP, Inc. of Houston for Base Operations Support Services at JSC.
BRSP will be performing the contract as a joint venture of Brown and
Root Services and Pioneer Contract Services. Major subcontractors to
BRSP are OMNIPLEX World Services, McLean, VA; Tolman Building
Maintenance, Dallas, TX; and Honeywell, Inc., Minneapolis, MN.
The firm fixed-price of the five-year effort is $128.2 million. The
contract will be divided into a one-year base period, with four
one-year options. The award will be a continuation of the effort
currently being performed under separate contracts by Johnson
Controls World Services, Inc., Cape Canaveral, FL; Brown and Root
Services, Houston; Mason & Hanger-Silas Mason, Inc., Lexington,
KY; Pioneer Contract Services, Houston; Centennial Contractor
Enterprises, Vienna, VA; Rigging and Welding Specialists, Inc.,
Houston; Four Seasons, Inc, Houston; Tolman Building Maintenance,
Inc., Dallas; Drakes Automotive Services, Inc., Houston; and Anchor,
Inc., Houston.
The services to be provided under the contract will be plant
maintenance and operations, logistics support, rigging and heavy
hauling support, security services, grounds maintenance, custodial
services, minor construction, engineering design and painting
services for the Johnson Space Center.
Also submitting proposals were DynCorp, Inc. of Alexandria, VA, and
Johnson Controls World Services, Inc. of Cape Canaveral, FL.
