The Thermal-Vacuum Test Facility provides the capability to subject test articles to combined thermal and vacuum conditions which simulate planetary and space environments. The 15 foot spherical space simulation chamber, capable of attaining a hard vacuum over a temperature range of -300°F to +300°F, has been used to test advanced concepts for long term cryogenic storage and Resource Control Systems (RCS) feed systems, battery power systems, space vehicle actuators, and electrical auxiliary power units.
