Thousands Attend 'Maryland's Place in Space' Event

Credit: NASA/Bill Hrybyk Thousands attended "Maryland’s Place in Space," a free showcase of Maryland's revolutionary work in space and technology, at the Baltimore Convention Center on May 30. The family-friendly event was complete with interactive activities, imaginative exhibits, NASA astronauts, multimedia presentations and much more!

Highlighted activities at Maryland’s Place in Space included a special appearance by Sid the Science Kid (Maryland Public Television / PBSKids); make your own wing ring glider with NASA Astronauts; a special interactive presentation by Disney's Wall*E; a performance and demonstration by Stormin' Bob Swanson, "The Singing Weatherman"; and an informative Science Café with scientists and engineers.
