Space in 3D
Visitor Center
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Experience space exploration in three dimensions at this special holiday event on Tuesday, Dec. 30. A large computer-driven 3D screen will display images and movies from space, allowing you to interact with some of the models and data NASA scientists routinely use. You'll find out how engineers design new spacecraft, go on virtual tours of rocket test facilities, see the crowded patterns of satellites and debris orbiting Earth, and observe the complex behavior of gases in jet engines. These moving images are as striking and inspiring as modern art.

People in 3d glassesPlus, you'll hear about the history of 3D and how NASA has used it throughout the decades. And look at a large 3D panoramic view of Mars. We'll provide the glasses.

Presentations at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Dr. Jay Horowitz, Manager of Glenn's Graphics Visualization Lab
