NASA Dryden Sponsors Solar System Workshop for Educators

PALMDALE – Elementary and middle school educators are invited to a solar system workshop March 27 at the AERO Institute in Palmdale. Sponsored by NASA Dryden Flight Research Center’s Office of Education, the workshop is offered free of charge.
The workshop will explore the connections between the sun, Earth and other planets. Participants will learn to use NASA’s Sun-Earth Day kit for the classroom. Also presented will be magnetic storms and their magnetism as a key to understanding the sun and its storms.
The workshop for educators of grades kindergarten through eight will be offered from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The AERO Institute is located at 38256 Sierra Hwy., Ste. A, in the Palmdale Civic Center.
Teachers interested in attending the workshop should register with Sara Cutts, Dryden Educator Resource Center coordinator, at 661-276-3992 or e-mail sara.cutts@nasa.gov
