NASA Dryden Sponsors Science of Clouds Educator Workshop

PALMDALE – Elementary educators are invited to explore the science of clouds at a science workshop Feb. 17 at the AERO Institute in Palmdale. Sponsored by NASA Dryden Flight Research Center’s Office of Education, the educational workshop is offered free of charge.
The workshop will include discussion of cloud classifications and dichotomous keys. NASA’s Students’ Cloud Observations On-line program, or S’COOL, will be explained. The workshop will feature a demonstration of the Magic Planet digital video globe projection system. NASA educational materials will be provided.
The workshop for educators of grades three through eight will be offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The AERO Institute is located at 38256 Sierra Hwy., Ste. A., in the Palmdale Civic Center.
Teachers interested in attending the workshop should register with Sara Cutts, Dryden Educator Resource Center coordinator, at 661-276-3992 or e-mail sara.cutts@nasa.gov.
