Human Robotic Systems (HRS)

The Human Robotic Systems (HRS) Project includes research and development of Human Robotic Systems technologies to advance human and robotic exploration. HRS addresses themes of Mobility, Manipulation, and Human-Robotic Interaction. At Ames, we are developing high-speed real time advanced robotic navigation capabilities to advance the state of art for mobility, researching control methodologies for dynamic Tensegrity manipulator structures, and developing new ground data systems capabilities to support human and robotic exploration and improve human-robot interaction. HRS is led by Johnson Space Center and involves Ames Research Center, Glenn Research Center, Goddard Space Flight Center, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Kennedy Space Center, and Langley Research Center.
