MALE SPEAKER: When man first landed on the Moon, I was in New York where I was working, and I don't remember if it was exactly daytime or nighttime at the moment in time when he landed, but I was watching television.

Very hard image to see, those early black and white TV sets, but it was a thrilling thing. I couldn't I was so thrilled because ever since I was a kid, I wanted to do that, but eyeglasses kept me out of the Air Force flying program. I was in the Air Force Reserves, but I never got into the flights thing because I wore glasses. So I just was a normal Air Force person.
