Infrared Images of Mt. St. Helen

NASA scientists took visible and infrared (IR) digital images of Mount St.
Helens on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004 that show an increase in the number of hot
spots in the crater of Mt St Helens and a plume of smoke emitting from the
crater. Bright red in the crater indicates hot spots, blue indicates snow
and clouds/plume.

MASTER bands 44 (9.12 um), 31 (3.88 um) and 22 (2.22 um) displayed in RGB.
All bands show differences in temperature.
