NASA's Aqua Satellite View of Cloud-Free Japan on April 5
The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectradiometer (MODIS) instrument aboard NASA's Aqua satellite captured this mostly cloud-free visible image of Japan on April 5, 2011 at 04:00 UTC (1 p.m. local time Toyko).
The red dots in North Korea and southeastern Russia (top left) indicate fires burning.
