New Developments in Societal Applications of Earth System Science: Media Briefing
WASHINGTON – NASA will hold a media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on June 23 to present science projects that are providing new benefits to society, made possible by the Earth system science approach pioneered by the NASA over the last 20 years.
The briefing will take place at the National Academy of Sciences building, 21st Street and Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington as part of a symposium, "NASA Earth System Science at 20: Accomplishments, Plans and Challenges," sponsored by NASA’s Earth Science Division. NASA embarked on a revolutionary new mission for its Earth science program twenty years ago: to study our planet from space as an inter-related whole.
