Procedures

Please read all information very carefully.

-- Registration for the 2015 NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge will be completely automated and electronically monitored.

-- Entries will be accepted for up to two (2) rovers/teams per school or institution. Our automated registration process will not allow more. However, if more teams register for the challenge than can be accommodated for a given day, schools or institutions with more than one registered rover must choose one (1) rover/team to compete.

-- For international teams, we will accept only four (4) team entries from each country. Our automated registration process will not allow more.

-- Please fill out a registration form for each team. All information must be complete for the registration to be considered valid.

U.S. Team Registration

An on-screen registration confirmation will be generated after you complete your registration. Please print this copy for your records. Subsequent communications via email will provide particulars as to event schedule, where to report, etc.

ATTENTION: Registered Teams

Mandatory Student Data Feedback and Media Release forms must be completed and returned by March 2, 2015. Coordinate with your Advisor to access the forms. Team Advisors have been emailed all form URLs.

**ALL teams are to email a team photo to MSFC-RoverChallenge2015@mail.nasa.gov by March 13, 2015. Be creative! Team photos will be displayed at the challenge. For the best resolution, photos should be 1024 x 768 pixels in a JPEG format.

International Team Registration

In an effort to reconcile increasing Rover Challenge interest from abroad with our austere budgetary constraints, a registration fee is required. This change ONLY impacts non-U.S. teams.

All international teams will be charged a registration fee of $95.00 (U.S.) per team registered plus a nonrefundable $5.00 handling fee per team. The $95 fee is reimbursable upon check-in at the challenge. Teams that cancel their registration by the cancelation deadline of March 2, 2015, will be reimbursed. The registration fee WILL NOT be reimbursed to teams that do not cancel their registration by March 2, 2015. Payment instructions will be provided in the registration confirmation notice.
