Major Completed Actions

NASA completed all awards of Science, Exploration, Cross-Agency Support, and Aeronautics contracts and cooperative agreements in accordance with applicable Program Plans and Recovery Act provisions, and more than 97% of funds appropriated have been disbursed for those projects.

Aeronautics: For the Airspace Systems Program at Ames Research Center (ARC), completed and submitted the final report of Field Test Systems for Operation Evaluation of Trajectory-based automation for En Route and Transition Airspace.

Science: For Airborne Science at Ames Research Center (ARC); completed with all specifications being met the Airborne Microwave Observatory of Subcanopy and Subsurface (AirMOSS) Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar (UAVSAR) in-house built frequency down-converter test data review, mechanical layout of the high power amplifier chassis including preliminary thermal testing of the low power switch network, and the P-band pod has been transported to the Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC) for pod sealing and installation of the fire detection loop; the Carbon in Arctic Reservoirs Vulnerability Experiment (CARVE) fabricated two new digital altimeters that were electrically tested with the Digital Aircraft data Distribution System (DADS); and Ames Research Center (ARC) completed the Recovery Act portion of the Research prototype Landsat analysis workflow starting with two 30-year time series in California.

Major
Planned Actions

In December, NASA will continue to provide quality assurance and monitoring of all ARRA recipients.

Aeronautics: Supersonics at GRC for test planning and preparation in support of wind tunnel testing, and PSL Icing Capability Project final electrical terminations to field devices and control systems, will continue in December.

Science: Planned to continue in December; shipment of the Airborne Science AirMOSS Ku Satcom modem assembly for UAVSAR L-3 Communication, NASDAT prototype testing and ground control testing for GHMOF, and CARVE flight logistics and flight planning.

Exploration: No additional new work is planned.

Cross-Agency Support for Hurricane Damage Repair Projects at the Johnson Space Center (JSC): All CAS restoration projects are completed; no additional repairs are planned.
